Gallery
I’m passionated with photography, drawings (both by hand or digital) and paintings too. So I share here what I think are my best takes, not necessarily best in a technical point of view.
I didn’t take any photography course (yet?) so the technical aspect is the least of my worries, but I have a really good photographic eye and just love to shoot like an American Tourist on holidays.
I’m mostly fond of shots taken in a city or human made environment. I like to see beauty in little corners that I like to think no one sees, and in a city we have plenty.
Just think about every corner of your place, can you? Well, I’m sure you (as much as I don’t) don’t know every little one. Beside, they are ever changing with age and sometime they are changed by city planning.
I like to spot and capture a corner in that particular moment depending on many factors (time and place, for one) and my mood.
In the galleries you’ll also find pictures in nature of course, since I really love being in nature when I can. Even though I consider myself a “city animal” I also like to catch a particular moment or feeling in nature. Which offers a greater choice of subjects.
Then there are also few of my drawings and digital images; even if I don’t draw much lately (well… since ages) I like to publish my old ones here. In the end this is my little spot on the Net and I use it as I see fit.
Most of the old pictures and all of the drawings are imported on my computer, from analogical to digital, with the aid of a scanner.
I didn’t own a digital camera until 2003. I hated the idea of waiting the digital shutter and discover that the moment I wanted to fix in time was gone. But my analogical camera was stolen, along with other things and a laptop, on a train December 2000.
Even when I bought the digital camera (Rollei DR5) I didn’t take many pictures. I wasn’t feeling much inspired and didn’t travel much really. Now I feel I wanna take loads of pictures again with my Nikon P100 (a bridge camera with CMOS sensor and few goodies such as a 26x).
I’m not a pro and don’t intend to spend money on a Reflex for now. When I’ll be able to use it properly and I’ll have time to take a course/learn about it the good way, then I’ll buy it.
