Publishing
I used to publish my Music on Jamendo. Jamendo is a publishing platform for artists who care to share and has fullfilled my sharing needs until some time ago. But I wasn’t getting any money out of Jamendo commercial or exposure programs, therefore I switched to SoundCloud and Ganxy.
Don’t get me wrong, Jamendo offers all of these services for Free and gratis so far, but honestly I would gladly pay a yearly fee to a service that allows me to make money upon every download or give the opportunity to buy single tracks or the whole album. Therefore I switched to more modern and up to date websites/tools such as SoundCloud and Ganxy.
Why? Because Free it is not necessarily gratis, and because timeless gratis it is not an option if you want to survive, at least in the world we live in… Unless you are horrifically rich and you happen to be a philanthropist too. That’s why I made the switch to these platforms.
SoundCloud is a great, modern and ubiquitous platform to share Music, but it doesn’t allow direct selling. Fortunately it offers integration to sell Music through a series of Application, I chose Ganxy since it offers direct buying of tracks or sets (albums) directly from the SoundCloud page using several paying method such as PayPal, Amazon and iTunes. Not to mentions that by simply embedding the SoundCloud widgets/players I get the direct Ganxy “Buy” link everywhere I need it. Also Ganxy offers widgets for Facebook pages and personal blogs.
So Enjoy and please support me if you like my Music.
